Thrasher Scrimshaw
Scrimshaw Knives
The First knife pictured here was my first attempt at
doing scrimshaw on one of my knives. A Damascus bird
knife with a hippo tusk handle, copal amber spacer, &
Elephant Ivory guard. Sold: $300
The Second knife pictured is probably my favorite
knife I ever done, the dragon turned out awesome,
I sold it to a guy to display in his Dojo. It's a 440
Stainless Tanto blade with Mammoth Ivory handle and
Black lip Mother of Pearl bolster. Sold: $400
The Third knife pictured was a Damascus skinner done
on Mammoth tusk and black lip mother of pearl spacer,
and mammoth guard. Sold: $300
The Fourth knife was a Damscus blade with a walrus
scrim done on a walrus tusk tip with a buffalo horn
spacer and elephant ivory guard. Sold: $310
The Fifth knife was a 440 Stainless drop point, with
box elder burl bolsters and Ivory micarta handles with
a 67 GTO custom scrim. Sold: $325
The sixth is a letter opener that I did for my mother
as a gift for christmas, its Warthog tusk with a tur-
quoise spacer. The last of course isn't a knife but
it was also a gift for my mother for this last Christ-
mas, it is a portrait of her pet raccoon that died
last year. It was done on Elephant ivory with a buffalo
horn back. It was about the size of a poker chip.
